Cesta domů is a mobile hospice that offers invaluable support to individuals at the end of life. In collaboration with this esteemed organization, we successfully launched an initial campaign to attract new donors. We were inspired by their dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about their work, which motivated us to contribute our time pro bono as part of our 'dobro' project. We assisted Cesta domů with media coverage for a charity concert and a charity auction featuring works of art, amplifying their mission and impact in the community.

Cesta domů offers counseling services for the care of terminally ill patients and their families. The organization provides healthcare services in patients' homes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while also supporting their loved ones in everyday caregiving. Additionally, Cesta domů assists those who are grieving by providing resources during difficult times. They are committed to raising awareness about palliative care through expert training and public awareness campaigns. Fortunately, numerous artists and celebrities lend their support to this organization pro bono, and we proudly join their ranks as passionate advocates for this important cause.

Campaign #darujcestudomu

In the fall of 2022, we launched and executed a digital fundraising campaign, #darujCestudomů, which successfully attracted 182 new donors and raised 280,651 CZK for the non-profit organization within just one month. Remarkably, our advertising costs across Facebook, Seznam.cz, and Google totaled only 89,169 CZK, resulting in a net gain of 191,482 CZK.

To engage first-time donors, we chose a powerful theme that posed a thought-provoking question: “What will you do in the next two weeks? And what would you do if you discovered those were your last?” The campaign highlighted the reality that two weeks is often the time remaining for the individuals under Cesta domů's care.

Approximately 80% of people express a desire to die at home, surrounded by their loved ones in a familiar environment, yet only 20% are able to fulfill that wish. Our campaign encouraged potential donors to reflect on how they would wish to spend their final two weeks and to support an organization dedicated to making this wish a reality for those in need.

The hashtag #darujCestudomu unified the campaign, inviting donors to contribute to ensuring care that restores dignity and peace during life’s final moments. Thanks to this initiative, we were able to reach new donors and raise awareness about the critical importance of supporting this invaluable service.

In the fall of 2023, we facilitated media coverage for two social and cultural events organized by Cesta domů. The first was a charity concert featuring Vojta Dyk at La Fabrica in Prague. We sensitively highlighted the singer's personal connection to the organization, sharing his heartfelt experience: "In the last days of my father's life, the staff of the Cesta dom hospice provided invaluable support to us. The peaceful days of my father's dignified departure to the other side were, in their own way, the most beautiful and profound moments of my life," expressed singer and musician Vojta Dyk.

The second event that we covered was a charity auction of artworks held at the Hilton Prague hotel, with proceeds totaling 3,863,012 CZK dedicated to enhancing the quality of palliative care. We are pleased to note that this year’s yield was approximately one million CZK higher than the previous year.

At Surikata, we have a passion for design and the visual arts, which inspired us to dedicate our best efforts to this project. Recognizing the uniqueness of the selected works, we also included a commentary from an independent art critic in the press release. "I consider this year's auction items to be contemporary, well-balanced, and, most importantly, truly valuable. These are not just throwaway pieces from artists but rather genuine collector's items. They deserve an exciting auction that ensures the authors maintain their market value while generating significant profits for Cesta domů and the journey we all share," remarked independent art critic Lenka Lindaurová about this year’s collection.

Through meticulously prepared media documents, we secured comprehensive coverage of both events, achieving a total media value of 286,438 CZK (AVE).
